The Future

A NETWORK

OF CO-CREATORS

Child Of is now supporting over 500 individuals through workshops, exhibitions, and mentoring. This growing network continues to shape a new kind of creative sector; one that is built from the ground up. Participants are developing their own projects, contributing to national platforms, and mentoring others. The impact is generational; skills, confidence and visibility passed forward through peer support. Future development will support this network with digital infrastructure, regional satellites, and income-generating opportunities to ensure that artists in recovery are not only seen; but sustained.

An Invitation To Co-Create

We are now seeking collaborators to scale our work across six core routes.

  • Museums, councils and arts orgs can invite Child Of to deliver exhibitions, public workshops or residencies.

  • Rehab centres, community hubs and schools can book multi-session Blank Canvas or Have Your Say programmes.

  • Funders and donors can support individual artists in recovery through a structured, peer-led pathway.

  • We are developing a retail strand to sell participant work, with profit shares returning directly to makers.

  • Organisations can co-develop national infrastructure: a digital platform, toolkit, archive and CPD framework.

  • We offer corporate workshops that use creative practice to clarify vision, encourage collaboration, and support social impact goals.

A CASE FOR

FUNDING

THREAD, FABRIC, REVOLUTION

The fabric-based work at the heart of Child Of carries symbolic and practical value. It links traditions of protest, storytelling, and personal healing. Additionally our offer includes multivocal creative practice including spoken word, visual art, film and collaborative storytelling, ensuring space for a wide range of participant voices and methods. With investment, these methods can be expanded into education, mental health, and civic spaces. Support will allow more participants to create work for sale and exhibition. It will enable national touring banners, protest artworks, and commissions that speak directly to public issues. The material, message and model are all aligned. Funding enables this practice to be scaled, refined, and seen at the level it deserves.

Funding will allow more stories to reach the public. Child Of has shown that when individuals are resourced to create, they share narratives that challenge stigma and open new cultural conversations. Funding supports artist fees, materials, mentoring time, and exhibition costs. It allows participants to access paid opportunities and transition into sustained creative work. Increased investment will lead to expanded reach, more exhibitions, and a stronger network of cultural partners. The impact is not just personal; it is structural, cultural, and public.

CHILD OF x PARTNERSHIPS

Child Of is ready to deepen and diversify its partnerships. With proof of concept established, investment will allow us to formalise regional partners, deliver bespoke projects, and co-develop long-term collaborations. Funding will strengthen infrastructure: policy, safeguarding, evaluation, and team capacity. It will also allow Sam and her team to respond to demand with a consistent, high-quality offer. We are building a national movement; and now is the moment to invest in scale, stability, and sustainability.
