OUR OFFERING
-
Workshops are core to Child Of’s model. They create accessible, hands-on spaces for creative exploration using textiles, sculpture, print and mixed media. Child Of delivers in recovery settings, schools, galleries and public spaces. Formats range from one-off public sessions to longer residencies focused on progression or exhibition. Workshops support wellbeing, authorship and skill-building. For partners, they offer flexible, high-impact tools for engagement and co-creation.
-
Child of mentorships supports people with lived experience of addiction or marginalisation to move into creative leadership. Mentees start by co-facilitating and grow into independent delivery roles. Each mentorship is tailored to the artist’s pace and stage of recovery. It includes studio practice, feedback, public-facing opportunities and, where appropriate, paid work. Mentees gain confidence, autonomy and voice. Organisations benefit from embedded peer leadership and a model that develops artists sustainably.
-
Child Of produces exhibitions that place lived experience at the centre. Since 2021, we’ve showcased participant work at Saatchi Gallery and in community venues; presenting recovery narratives with artistic integrity.
Exhibitions emerge through collaborative curation. Artists contribute textiles, sculpture, writing, or film. Themes are co-developed and presented professionally with supporting documentation. These shows reframe identity and encourgae public dialogue. Partners benefit from socially relevant programming and innovative engagement formats.
RESIDENCIES
+ COLLABORATIONS
Child Of designs and delivers residencies in partnership with organisations committed to creative recovery, social impact, and community-led change. These minimum 6–12 weeks (or permanent) residencies are built collaboratively with each host site, adapting to the needs of their service users, artists, or participants. Every residency integrates creative development, mentorship, and structured pathways into public-facing outcomes; such as exhibitions, showcases, or co-produced resources.
Residencies are typically hosted in rehab centres, community spaces, housing providers, education settings, or cultural institutions. We have delivered successful partnerships with Druglink, LEAP, Saatchi Gallery Learning, and Centrepoint, working with women in recovery, young people in alternative provision, and mixed community groups. Outcomes include stitched banners, curated exhibitions, short films, public murals, and peer-led workshops. Each programme is documented and evaluated in alignment with host organisation priorities.
Participants benefit from routine, reflection, creative growth and improved self-esteem. Partners benefit from embedded co-production, increased engagement, and sector-aligned delivery rooted in lived experience. Every residency is underpinned by safeguarding, evaluation frameworks, and a clear referral pathway for progression into mentorship or public opportunities. We are actively seeking new partners across housing, culture, health and youth development to expand our network of residencies and co-create new models of practice.
CORPORATE WORKSHOPS
Sculpting Your Business Vision: A Storytelling Workshop is a hands-on, collaborative experience that blends creative thinking with architectural sculpture to explore and express your organisation's core values, mission, and future direction. Through the process of designing and building a physical structure, participants transform abstract business ideas into tangible forms - fostering team cohesion, unlocking fresh perspectives, and strengthening problem-solving skills. Inspired by the hexagonal structures of skin cells viewed under a microscope and the poetic, self-contained worlds of Joseph Cornell's art boxes, the sculptural framework invites both individual expression and collective construction. Each module or "cell" - is uniquely crafted by team members to reflect personal insights and diverse perspectives. When assembled, these interconnected parts form a cohesive, resilient whole: a striking visual metaphor for the strength of community, the beauty of difference, and the shared vision that binds a team together. This workshop invites teams to engage with vision-building not just as a strategic process, but as a creative act of making. rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and imagination. By hiring Child Of, you're supporting pathways to employment for individuals in recovery, empowering them to rebuild their lives through creativity, confidence, and community connection.
