The Turning Point:
BEYOND ADDICTION
Beyond Addiction was exhibited alongside iconic Beyond The Streets exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in Spring 2023. Sponsored by Daler-Rowney, it was a mutlivocality project - bringing together students from London East Alternative Provision, young people from Centrepoint and Adults in recovery from Druglink. Co produced and led by established artists with lived experience of addiction.
Public audiences, press, and funders engaged with the work on equal terms. It showed how recovery can fuel cultural change and how people with lived experience can lead that process when properly resourced.
This exhibition now forms the basis of a replicable model that Child Of can deliver in partnership with local authorities, cultural venues, or social impact organisations.
