Art Activism

Child Of Project C.I.C is a Community Interest Company.

We tackle social issues through the power of art and support those touched by addiction.

What We Do

'CHILD OF' is a visual arts platform exploring addiction and recovery in a creative & contemporary way.

We believe in non judgmental, frank and realistic discussion, exploring all sides of the drug and alcohol story.

Supporting London East Alternative Provision, Centrepoint and Druglink, we provide weekly art classes and workshops and proudly partnered with Saatci Education & Learning Department and Daler Rowney.

We facilitate dynamic and creative workshops in the workplace, exploring the benefits of creativity in business and encouraging self expression.

By using real-life stories to inspire artworks it illustrates the value of shared experience through the power of art and storytelling.

The artworks are sold to help fund community projects such as delivering workshops in rehabilitation centres, working with Alternative Provision schools and young people from low socio-economic backgrounds.

Are aim is to set up a mentorship program within the creative industry.

A percentage of profits will be donation to The National Association of Children of Alcoholics.

This piece illustrates a dream of British Playwright Simon Stepehens, one that saved his career and changed his life!

Workshops

  • Corporate wellbeing workshops

    Corporate

We offer fun workshops to encourage creativity in the workplace and allow individual expression.

Our ‘Identity’ workshops explores identity through colour, mark making with a surrealist twist …

Many people are touched by addiction but the shame and stigma deter them from talking about it. An introduction to the ‘Child Of’ project will open up the conversation in an easy going manner, allowing those to participate if comfortable. Links to organisations and charities will be shared and our facilitators will be available to share their personal experience and support.

  • Community

Subsidised by the corporate workshops we work within the community supporting those from low socioeconomic backgrounds, including the homeless, alternative provisions schools and drug rehabilitation centres.

The connectivity of art can not be underestimated. By offering either short creative workshops or weekly support we endeavour to nurture creativity and raise expectations.

Exhibitions
