Samantha Lorriman was born in Hertfordshire. In her early life she was encouraged to pursue artistic expression by her artist Mother and Grandfather. She works mainly in the medium of charcoal, with a focus on realistic portraiture. She has drawn inspiration from such artists as Casey Baugh and Chuck Close.
